SUBSTITUTE TEACHING

Requirements:  In Michigan, you must have earned at least 90 credits from a degree-granting college or university to be considered for a sub teaching permit.  You must also consent to a Criminal Background Check from State and Federal agencies. 

Pay Scale:  In Allegan County, you will earn $70 per day (on your 1st through your 10th day at any given school), then you will earn $80 per day (from your 11th day on).  All schools pay $40 for a half day.  In many districts, you may get other perks, such as a free school lunch in their cafeteria!
